Lovely stay again.Right in beach front. Perfect.

Lovely welcome, all staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and warm. The bed was comfy, we had a great night's sleep. Area downstairs with the bar was lovely for a drink before going out. Breakfast in the morning was really good. Full English and continental. As a bonus the location is perfect, right near the pier with a lovely view. All together a lovely trip, will definitely be coming back. I recommend this hotel to stay at if you are going to Paignton.

This was amazing little bit of a last minute trip booked for a friend's birthday. We managed to secure 2 double rooms for a very good price. We set off from our hometowns early to be able to spend the full day and evening in Paignton, when we arrived very early around 8:30am one of the owners greeted us and let us check in mega early which we were very happy about after nearly a 3 hour drive. They were both very friendly and very welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much to ask. We will definitely be staying again, hopefully for a few more days next time. Thank you for accommodating us.

Highly recommended! Rooms are clean and well decorated. Prices for everything are extremely reasonable. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Perfect location. Lovely view from our room of the sea and the pier. An all round wonderful stay and we will be back. Thanks for a brilliant stay.

Adam met me and was so welcoming. Great room,top floor, quiet with great views. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing was a problem if i needed it. Great value accommodation. Would strongly recommend.

We was made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived by Gary and james! We had 3 dogs in tow and they was also made to feel very welcome!The hotel smells so clean as soon as you walk through the door and is so clean throughout! The hotel is in perfect location from the pier and all of the cafes, bars and amusements. We couldn't believe how amazing value for money it was! We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family and definitely will be returning! Thankyou so much for a lovely stay guys! Xx

Very clean and friendly hotel would stay again

Great location on the sea front, and we were upgraded when we arrived, we booked one night as we were travelling around Devon near Christmas time.Very clean and stylish decor. Loved the Christmas decs tooOur host Gary was very welcoming. Lovely B and B would recommend highly.

We were quite late for our arrival due to the traffic and missed the messages from the hotel with instructions to check ourselves in. Upon reaching, there was no fuss, on one call we were greeted with a big smile and checked in. The rooms is cozy with an excellent balcony in a beautiful area. We’re hoping to be back for a longer holiday.

We stayed at the Beach Hotel on a last minute spur of the moment decision we've stayed at several hotels in Paignton & Torquay but none have been up to the standard of this hotel. We noticed upon entrance how clean and modern the hotel was a friendly reception and very clean. Our room had a balcony spacious and again could not find fault with the cleanliness. The location is perfect for the sea front having a breakfast included made it a bargain stay we'll definitely be back

It must be a 5 star rating from me. Everything about The Beach Hotel was superb. The place, which was spotless, the staff and the owners were excellent. The breakfast was second to none. Felt like family when we left. Definitely a must if you're going to Paignton

We only had one night here, but it was a very relaxing stay. The room was lovely, and we had a sea view too. We had an afternoon tea visit to the palace theatre. The weather wasn’t the best, lots of rain, but when we got back to the total we were greeted with a smile, and warmth. We got a drink and relaxed in the main seating area, that was comfortable. The restaurant that was recommended was delicious and a 10 min walk (Harbour lights). I would highly recommend this hotel, for comfort and for the welcome we received. Many thanks.

A very pleasant hotel, very clean & nice little touches everywhere and the private little balcony overlooking the sea front was great. The Breakfast was fantastic also Heinz Ketchup (not cheap stuff) kellogs corn flakes, many places these days opt for cheap & this Hotel is not like that! However the price for the room was surprisingly affordable! I would definitely use again.

We came for a couple of nights to visit a friend at The Boathouse Preston (highly recommend the food btw) and we had a small dog with us. The hotel was perfect for our visit and our furry friend was made most welcome. Clean room, great hosts, great position - and all very reasonable - thank you !

I came as a solo traveller to find some peace. My single room was upgraded and was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable and the room size was excellent.The whole decor of the hotel was so inviting and calming.My husband ended up joining me which was no problem at all which I sincerely appreciate.The food was a fantastic standard and a wide choice was available.I did not use the bar service but the area looked so relaxing as did the garden area.The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond my expectations.I could not fault the hotel and will be recommending to my friends and family.

Lovely hotel, very clean and tidy and well looked after. Staff was lovely and welcoming. Our room was such a decent size and just generally lovely. Really happy with our stay for 3 nights. The only let down was parking, it’s okay if you manage to get a space and you plan on not loving your car but we did a lot of driving so we never knew if we would get parking or not and sometimes we really struggled. Apart from that, very happy!

This is our go to hotel when visiting family. Always spotlessly clean, friendly staff and a great breakfast. See you soon!

The guys running this place go above and beyond. Adam was an absolute superstar and really looked after me well. The hotel isn’t the ritz but it’s clean and in a great location for the beach. We had the best stay here for the weekend with my husband our baby and some of other family the facility was clean very well presented also we're happy to help us out at any point through the stay will be coming back again very soon with in hope of staying in a room with a balcony again

Lovely little find almost on the sea front. Welcoming hosts, clean and tidy. Bed comfy but very creaky! Definitely needs a mattress protector though.Breakfast was good, decent tea bags, biscuits in room, sweeteners needed. Clear instructions in room for everything you need.

We had one night here on our way to Cornwall. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, best poached eggs ever, thank you. The hosts couldn’t be any more helpful. Would highly recommend

Just come back from another great weekend away at beach hotel torbay . Second year we stayed here . So welcoming home from home rooms lovely modern and clean. Full English breakfast great really sets you up for the day plus extras if didn't want full English. Right on sea front will be booking next year too we love here .

What a gem of a place, we stayed in room 9 which come with a balcony, room was immaculate the hotel was spotless inside and outside,host Gary and James were very welcoming not for getting Adam hoping that was his name very helpful and polite nothing was to much trouble for all staff including the cleaners who do a fantastic job,the few days we stayed was truly amazing location was excellent 😀

We've had a lovely week at the Beech Hotel.the place is immaculately clean and comfortable.we cant thank ypu enough. The perfect location for a stay in Devon.every other town is only a short distance away by car, train amd bus.train amd bus station are within walking distance of the hotel. Hotels was nice and clean. We liked that it has a lift to the top floor as my her usband uses a walking stick.room was good value for money. Just struggled with the hight of the shower base it was really high and if your a larger person difficult to get in. Owners were also welcoming would stay again.

From the moment we arrived on Sunday with or small dog,Adam made us feel really welcome. The hotel is fresh and clean and great value. We had breakfast which was extra. It was worth it and Adam had gone out especially to get my veggie sausages. The mattress was a little uncomfortable, but overall a good night sleep even with the seagulls! A great stay overall, right on seafront and great value for money.

Me and my son travelled up for the air show and only stayed one night. Room was small but perfectly adequate and clean. Beds were really comfy. Needed to use the fan as it was quite hot in the room. Breakfast was worth getting - cooked fresh, set us up for the day. Felt welcomed by all the staff.

Beautiful hotel, and the cherry on top is the James and Gary.They are the most approachable and friendly owners. They remember the small things which make the biggest difference. We will definitely be back! If coming here in warmer months ask for room 10! The balcony is stunning!!

We are a family of three that stayed for 2 nights in a triple room. Room very nice and comfortable. Furnished well and with good views and facilities. We had an issue with the date that we originally booked due to a rail strike but I contacted the hotel and Gary was very helpful and accommodating and arranged for us to arrive a day later. Very much appreciated.We cannot comment on breakfast as did not participate in this but overall a very nice comfortable hotel and all staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. Would recommend to others.

We did a late booking at this hotel and had a lovely room with balconyWe were able to have are dog with us which is important as he is part of are family too.There was cleaning and refilling of coffee/tea etc every day. Hosts were lovely, hotel and room looks like it’s just been re-furbished, we stayed for 1 night and the room was clean and comfy although the bed was a double and we are used to a larger bed (so not hotels fault) quilt was same size as bed so I stole the quilt for the night 🙈 shower head was changed straight away so the service was great as this was broken but the step to get in and out of the shower is quite high and nothing to hold on to to assist, maybe a lower shower tray would be beneficial. Overall a really nice, tidy and friendly hotel.

We had a fab Easter weekend stay in this lovely, dog friendly hotel. This hotel is in a great location, directly opposite the beach. We stayed in a double room which had a good sized balcony and beautiful sea view. The room had all amenities provided that you would need for your stay and the complimentary Easter eggs were an added bonus! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

We were a large party of 16 including a toddler and baby as well as children. From the moment we got there Gary and James could not do enough for us to make us feel like the most important people and welcome us. They were exceptional throughout our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, shower worked well, if a little small in some rooms.Double beds were on the small side.Breakfast was great both meat and veggie ones. Dog friendly. Communal area would be good if it stayed open a little longer in the evening to keep the bar open. Would definitely stay again!

What a wonderful hotel. We were greated at reception by Gary who explained our room was ready and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The hotel is modern and warm, (which was lovely as it hadn't stopped raining all day on our travels). There was a lovely well stocked bar and we were able to pay by card for anything we ordered. We decided to stay for breakfast during our stay. The restaurant was very clean and you had a good choice of either, a continental or full English breakfast. Again everything was fresh. My husband opted for the full English half way through our stay which was no trouble for them. He gave it 10/10. Our room was cosy, lovely fluffy clean white towels and tea, coffee and hot chocolate to ease our thirst. The TV had good reception and all channels worked. There was good WiFi reception and this was also free. We had our beloved pet with us as this was a pet friendly hotel. As we entered our room there were no pet smells or damp dog smells at all, which sometimes is the case when we have stayed in other places. It's a credit to the owners, they really care and it shows in every way. Our room was serviced every day and everything we needed was refilled at no extra cost. The hotel as it says is literally over the road from the beach and promenade and a 15 minute walk to the bus or train station. Perfect hotel in the perfect place with the perfect people running it. So so much better than a chain run hotel.We are definitely looking forward to returning in the future and would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you James and Gary. ❤️

Highly recommend Beach Hotel Torbay. Had a lovely two night stay in a room with a balcony that had a view of the pier. No complaints from check-in to check-out. The staff is professional and friendly. The room was clean to the highest standards. And Border cookies were an added touch. Great location; central to coffee, shopping, movies, and beach. A wonderful stay where I felt welcomed.

I chose this accommodation due to the previous reviews and I wasn't disappointed from the initial check in to check out. I had a warm welcome and first impressions were really great, everywhere was spotless and really inviting and homely. Breakfast was great and any interaction with the various staff was always cheery.The location is fantastic, right on the seafront opposite the pier and within a 5 minute stroll to the centre of town and the main entertainment areas. If and when we return to Paignton this will be my go to hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

Our room was a very comfortable spotlessly clean and the breakfast 😋 was wow. Although woken by the seagulls the surroundings and the lounge was again comfortable,clean,bright and airy. Made to feel welcome.

Great overnight stay yet again ..Stayed here in 2022 ,came back and wasn't disappointed. The guys that run the place are very friendly and the accommodation is always clean fresh and tidy .Stayed with my two fur babies they are always welcome too . really pleased with our whole experience, a quick check in and out.Room was compact but did for us, but it was very hot (I suppose its better than freezing) there was plenty of room to sit and chill down stairs with a large screen TV. Breakfast was good and not floating in oil.easy walk to the beach which the dog loved.

Perfect location for exploring Paignton, Close to the beach & has a lovely sea view.Restrictive checking in times so make sure you check so you don't get charged.The room was small but clean & comfortable, with tea/ coffee making facilities.Not sure the room needed a wardrobe and it would have been good to have had a mirror in the room.Staff were friendly & polite.

We were only here for one night and it was a lovely time.We accidentally bypassed check in time due to traffic and were called by staff to make sure we were okay on our way down, my bad as I had forgot to call them! Dog friendly!! We had been given a room with a safe balcony for our doggo. Lovely, clean, modern and comfy room! Nice and quiet at night. Friendly staff!! Looking forward to going back! :)

I received a warm welcome from Gary at the Beach Hotel. The location and view from my room was amazing! The single room and en suite are spacious and comfortable. Gary and James are friendly and helpful, the bed is so comfy and the shower and TV good. Thanks so much - I hope to be back during the summer and will book direct.

There were not many other guests during our visit. The hotel was also being re-decorated, however this did not detract from our visit in any way. We were greeted on arrival first day, the lift was not in use, but we were helped with our case to room 19, which was very tidy, clean anc sufficient for what we needed for our planned stay. Breakfast after night one we paid for as an extra, it was hot and filling. Night two, we were welcomed on our return to the hotel, no food was available at the hotel, but we knew this when we booked. Breakfast day two, again full English was my choice. Very tasty and filling. Night three, treated by Gary who was very helpful and friendly a great ‘face’ for front of house, very welcoming. This welcome approach was appreciated as we were on a specific visit and it really appeared that nothing was too much travel. Thanks all

Well what can we say, owners James and Gary made us feel so welcome in their property which is over looking paignton sea front. Our room was great, clean, comfortable and modern with free WiFi, TV and en-suite shower etc. The bed was great for a good night's sleep. We looked at other rooms in the hotel and the ones in the older part of the hotel have exceptional sea views.The hosts James and Gary are very approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. Gary's breakfast is a must, cooked to perfection. There is a wide range of breakfast goods to suit all tastes and requirements. Spacious lounge with good lighting, a homley feel indeed. Very warm greeting on arrival- the place was spotless! Love the minimalistic but splash of vibrant colours - very welcoming and friendly! Love that we could grab a drink from downstairs to take to our room. We had a takeaway one evening and asked for plates and cutlery which was no problem at all! Breakfast was good also!

Great welcome, nice entrance, looked bright and clean! Room clean enough. Could do with a socket close to the bed and a shelf in the bathroom. My room wasn’t serviced during my stay, not sure if that’s the norm now. Breakfast (cooked) could do with investing in some quality ingredients, it would make a massive difference, them sausage 😩, 1st days breakfast was cooked well. Second days breakfast was dried and looked like it had been kept on a keep warm plate, when questioned it blamed on the quality of the chef by the boy serving (not the owners) maybe they were taking a well deserved day off. Would stay again, it has a great location but watch out for the traffic wardens!

So glad I found this place, a little gem. Right opposite the beach. Didn't see James, but Gary and Lee were lovely, couldn't do enough. Very pet friendly. Rooms very modern, had a partial Seaview but don't be fooled by rhe partial bit, it's a lovely view. Breakfast was lovely. Definitely be back.

The hotel was clean and had all the facilities you would expect, we weren’t given a wifi code so not sure if there was one available, location was perfect but no parking available so we did struggle to park locally, if travelling by rail then that’s not an issue.The twin room we had was fine but very very small especially the shower room and walls were thin so other guests very loud so sleep was not easy.The host was wonderful and very welcoming so this made up for other niggles as above but there could have been a few more options of breakfast, maybe a menu to choose from, different options such as poached eggs for example or just options of cooking such as grilled not fried foods on the cooked breakfast! All in all it was a lovely guest house with impeccable hosts and I hope the review is constructive as we would definitely recommend a stay here!

Easy check in nearer the 6pm deadline.Room clean tidy,, biscuits with Nescafé coffee lovely.Did not have breakfast,always use Booking.Com but it looks like if you book direct you get some continental brekkie,, that is a bit off,, if it is the case.Only other minus,, Tele is abit small and not being to enjoy a beer before bed.But that's just me,,

The young man kindly moved us down to a lower floor room as my husband cant manage stairs due to health reasons. Hotel was very, very clean & fresh looking. Geeat atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, sea view also. Travelled in January and the room was lovely and warm. The staff were incredibly accommodating and waiting for us to arrive later than the check in time. We didn’t use the facilities but would love to another time. The only issue I had was the matteress was too hard for me so I struggled to sleep well however I would still stay again. Thank you soo much

Beach Hotel Torbay is the perfect location to get around Torbay.The owners were friendly and very welcoming.The room was perfect for our needs and we had a Seaview.I would also recommend the breakfast as they use quality products.Highly recommended for couples and families aswell as lone travellers.

I would like to say a huge thank you to James, gary and all of the staff. Myself and my family were staying at the beach hotel so that we could say our Final goodbyes to my grandmother. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Amber was fantastic! The hotel was immaculately clean, the rooms were lovely and bright with everything we would need and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was perfect. It was an emotional time for my family and a very hard weekend was made so much easier by the kindness showed to us. I honestly cannot thank you all enough

We had no problem parking. Greeted warmly by Gary & upgraded to a balcony room with sea view. How unexpected but lovely as we had a dog in tow. Please check T&Cs as there’s a nominal charge for woofers that we missed but our Frenchie was made very welcome. Our room was bright, clean. Pure white bed linen and the biggest softest bath sheets I’ve ever seen. Shower was heavenly.Breakfast was very filling. Plenty of continental assortment & then Gary took our hot breakfast order. He kindly cooked an additional sausage for our Frenchie.This small but super welcoming hotel was perfect for us en route to north Devon. I would recommend as you are a stones throw from the Sandy beach.

Just got back from a lovely weekend in Paignton. Stayed at the Beach Hotel, a little get away for my wife's birthday, we were given an upgrade to a balcony room with views all down the esplanade and over to the beach and pier. The guys looked after us really well and nothing was too trouble. We can't wait to get another chance to visit.The hotel is perfectly placed for everything you need for a weekend away in Paignton.

A short stay by the sea, parking very welcome and all amenities nearby. It was slightly noisy if you had the windows open as situated off the main sea road.

What an amazing place to stay! We was late checking in and when we did arrive the outside of the hotel was well lite up compared to other along the way we was greeted and checked in made to feel very comfortable. The decor is lovely and the hotel was really clean got our keys for the room lovely and clean again bed was comfortable had a lovely view over to the pier and sea. Can leave when ever you please you do have a key for the main door. Breakfast in the morning was fast and fresh I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit the area again. Well done for your amazing staff and team work

A lovely comfortable and relaxed hotel. Our balcony room (no.9) was perfect for catching the afternoon sun and had a lovely view of the seafront. Full breakfast was excellent. James, Gary and the rest of the staff couldn't be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, which all made for a very relaxed stay. Would thoroughly recommend.

Only stayed here for one night but was perfect for us as a family of four and two small dogs. Very welcoming on arrival and breakfast was great. Beach was literally across the road with great views from our bedroom windows. Perfect for our dogs also as there is a big grass area opposite.

James, the manager, was super friendly and was very helpful and accommodating with my late check in. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and in a very good location. Specially if you are going for coastal trail walks. It was such a relaxing place to stay after a long walking. I highly recommend it!

Both guys where really friendly & welcoming, the hotel was really modern & clean! Perfect for our little one night stay, but would also stay for longer ☺️ only one little thing I would say is they need the self closing quiet doors on the rooms as we had someone slamming their door all night, then again in the morning! But that's just the tiniest of feedbacks! Other than that, perfect and will definitely be booking again ☺️

Perfect location with sea view. Spotless & modern renovation. Gary & James are great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

Opposite pier on beach front. James and Gary have done a great job upgrading rooms and the reception/dining areas are bright light and modern, as was our room (10) with wrap round balcony. Very friendly guys we wish them success.

We’ve just had 2 nights at Beach Hotel Torbay. The room was clearly recently renovated, and had everything you needed to make it a comfortable stay. Bed were comfortable, and our Daughter said the bunk beds were comfy also. Breakfast was lovely, and host even went out and got us specific milk for our children. Location was super, sea view and parking included!!Overall, really nice stay. If we visit this park of the UK again, we will be booking to stay here! Thanks for everything James!

Very clean, nice environment, lovely hosts, very comfortable.

As soon as we walked in were greeted by the manager James and checked us in efficiently were treated like we are at home, the hotel was clean and tidy as well as the location, full english breakfast was served by Gary in the morning was excellentlooking forward to booking our stay again very shortly. Thank you all.
